Yessir. I popped the DVD Navigation disc out and put in the DVD with the MP3's on it and it played. It was an experiment that worked out. The files are in various folders and subfolders but the OEM navigation DVD drive read them and I be listening to it.

Just to be totally clear, it is the DVD drive that is below the CD player slot. I haven't tried a DVD in the CD drive assuming that it is only a CD player but one that is capable of reading MP3's.

I thought you were talking about DVD Audio as in the logo. But Mp3 on DVD in nav drive is still a great discovery.

Yes, it was a very nice surprise. I will soon have my iPod integrated, thanks to the you-know-whos of WestFest IV, but it's still cool.

Now I'm curious about DVD Audio. If I can get my hands on a DVD Audio disc I'll have to try that next.

I have few DVD-audio discs for my wife's RL. Have not tried making backup copies yet. They sound great in 5.1 channel surround sound.

It will be interesting to see if you can make a backup copy.

I have tried copying DVD Audio disc before and is very hard need some real good software however i only tried nero
