Anyone ever have their gas pedal get stuck on the floor?

Just wondering... happened to me yesterday in Nicole's work parking lot (third time, 1st two were on the front straight of Summit Point @ 120mph). She thought I was being an attention whore (bouncing the revs off the limiter and bringing the engine almost to the point of KA-BOOM).

Anyway, was just curious if anyone ever had any issues like this before on any car.

Not to me but it happened to my uncle in one of his Ferraris along time ago. He said it was the scariest thing that has ever happened to him. He kept pulling it up with his foot and finally it let go and released.
Did the gas pedal get stuck down on you M3. If so that is surprising.

Maybe it's just a touch of premature acceleration...

Very scary, it happened to me long time ago driving a Ford aerostar, it got stuck for about 5 second and those were the scariest 5 seconds of my life

I used to get that in a old VW Jetta... the only thing that would work would be to give it a quick press all the way down and release... not a lot of fun in traffic

happened to me in a '74 VW SuperBeetle... it's scary... your first reaction is to take it out of gear and then the engine runs wild... have to remember to just shut it down when it happens. it was ugly.

probably a better idea to get it out of gear, nothing's gonna happen if it's bouncing off the revlimit. this way you've still got power brakes. after stopping you can shut it down.
