1. I don't "race." I drive fast. When teenagers in their souped-up Hondas challenge me to a race, I just ignore them.
2. I don't drive in that area where the held the sting. I stay on I-77. (Hit 110 this morning, by the way.)  3. What the hell are you doing reading Charlotte.com?  Juan

And speed doesn't kill... it's the inexperience that kills. Obviously these gentlemen were very experienced RACE CAR drivers, or else they wouldn't be hittin the streetzzzz like they were. Damn po-po gotta ruin all the fun.

Heard about the arrests on the news. That place where the sting took place is about 10 minutes from my house. On a Saturday night, it looks like a scene from Fast and Furious except for the lack of hotties. Tons of bikes out there too.
On several different occasions on I485 (south side) I have been passed by cars racing through the traffic at 115-120+ mph. Recently, an old Z28 with a 6-71 blower came roaring by and close behind were two dudes riding wheelies on Kawasaki's. I can't imagine being on one wheel at over 100. Insane. Tried to snap a camera phone pic but they were way too fast. The fact is, the racing won't stop, it will only move to a new spot. Ahh, the memories....

I saw some crazy driving on 485 while we were down there last time...didn't realize I was driving so close to the street races!
