A happy and a healthy..... {NVS}

(Not Vegetarian Safe) !!

So tonight was our annual "marinate the bird night" and I got to thinking how much I would love to invite everyone over for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I can't do that so I wanted to send out an early "bird day" shout out to the gang at X5world.

So for those of you leaving early, traveling to see family, etc. Be safe, have fun, eat lots of turkey and enjoy the games..

- I also thought I would share a secret recipe with anybody who is intrested on how to make our famous family bird.

Your already a day late so do this tomorrow ASAP if you like the recipe.
1) Pick up your bird, clean it with lemon.
2) Peel (6-8) HEADS of garlic, yes, it's a PIA but it's worth it.
3) blend the garlic cloves with olive oil, rosemary, thyme, kosher salt until it becomes a paste or schmear.
4) Schmear the garlic paste all over the bird, up and down, in and out.
5) Stuff the bird with onions on the inside and tie it up.
6) On the outside of the bird, get some thick cut bacon and line the bird (this keeps in the moisture and salts the bird to tenderize.)

Let sit overnight (or for two days if your like me.) - The result is a house full of Thanksgiving garlic aroma and guests who will talk about how incredible your bird is ALL YEAR LONG...
And the leftover sandwiches are INSANE.. the garlic tastes even yummier day 2 in the fridge...

So have a happy gobble gobble.
B
