here are some pics of the roadrunner... I just completed building the engine, transmission, and rear differential. I have rebuilt the rear suspension using HD springs and polyurethane rear sway bar bushings. I have a pinion snubber to help with leaf spring flex (definitely old school). I ran 3/8" line from the tank, through a holley blue 110gph fuel pump, and a Russell high flow filter (seen in pic with me and daughter). The interior is waiting for its roll cage (4th in line at the builder).

The transmission is of my own creation. I increased the number of front clutch springs to 15, a higher shift governor, 4 planetary gears front and back, a b&m shift kit (tuned to shift so hard it has broken a u-joint, i know), 3800 Stall Converter from PTC, hardened pump gears, lightened sunshell, and rollerized rear output shaft and rear drum.

The engine is a 440ci bored .030 over with 11.75 to 1 TRW pistons, 516 heads (70CC chamber) with 2.14/1.81 valves, a 292/292 .509/.509 purple camshaft, forged crank internally balanced, block bored/honed/align honed/decked/sonic tested/and magnafluxed; Mopar M1 single plane intake with a eddy 750 with removed choke butterfly and secondary butterflies to increase front and rear airflow. 1 7/8" ceramic coated hooker headers which lead to an x pipe (no mufflers).

Cooling is accomplished via a 3 1/2" aluminum radiator with two 1200 cfm spal fans and a mopar performance mechanical water pump.

I have a linelock for the front brakes to help with burnouts out of the waterbox.

I have rebuilt the steering column and rewired the interior. I relocated the battery box to the trunk.

Once completed with the interior, it will go to the body shop to fix some rust issues and get a new coat of stage I mopar white with black roadrunner roof stripes and bulge hood callouts.

Its a work in progress. The 73 SE and the Satellite are waiting there turn respectively.

I am no rich guy by any means. I am medically retired from the military from a helicopter accident and I had to work my way through college to get my MS in Rehabilitation Counseling while my wife, daughter and I lived off of her teaching salary. So please do not mistake me for an individual who is nuevo riche' or rich at all.

me and the kiddo!
