here's a opinion of Windws Server Team about EULA quote: While the OSP news is goodness, the timing is a bit odd. Just yesterday our brethren on the Windows client team posted the new EULA for Windows Vista. There were some inaccurate interpretations of the EULA in regards to was is/isn't allowed when it comes to virtualization technologies. If you read the EULA - and you're not an attorney like me or many of us out there - it's not hard to misinterpret the language. An anonymous comment to Alessandro's post shared the correct interpretation: This does not limit your use of the software in a virtual environment. It is intended to limit your use of the same license for multiple installations. For instance, if you buy a new desktop with a copy of windows installed, you can't take that same license of Windows and install it in a virtual machine. This would be similar to not allowing you to install the same license on another machine. Ultimate edition opens up licensing and allows you to use the same license inside a virtual machine, even though the license is already installed on the physical machine. I hope to see an official clarification from the Windows Vista team on this topic.

There's no coupon as of now, but after reading threads on Cnet.com, you should be eligble for a discount when it comes out. That's what they did for Tiger.

Yeah i have seen that "upgrade for free if you bought something in the past thing'. Theres a time limit that Apple sets for that kind of thing one site describes it this way "If you buy once leopard's actual release date has been announced but before that date arrives, you'll get an upgrade coupon for leopard. If you buy before the release date is announced, you pay full price for the update. At least, that's how apple's done it in the past.

That depends: I usually like to wait about 6 months just to see how many folks hit the skids. Besides that i have some critical music software i can't afford to compromise.Then there's parallels and XP how will that work with an out of the gate OS? So I guess I'm gonna look at Macfixit and the other sites for the latest in how it's fairing.
