Fully elec. car, 0-60 in 4 secs, 250 mile range

Have you guys heard about this? I just happened to stumble across it. Either it hasn't had much publicity, or I just haven't noticed. Looks pretty fookin' amazing to me!

And yes, then you have to plug the hairdryer into the wall outlet after 250 miles.

I watched the Discovery Channel piece on it a while ago. Very cool. The acceleration experience is quite different when you get 100% max torque from 0 rpm and right through the range.

They had one at the L.A. auto show. IT is not bad looking, but the price tag is a bit steep for it. I believe it is $100,000.

It's based off a Lotus Elise

I read about this car before, never seen one. Looks pretty cool, but I kind of like hearing the engine and exhaust growl when driving fast cars, so this might be kind of tame, and don't excite all the senses enough. That being said, it's quite an engineering accomplishment!

Really? To me they've just taken a lotus elise as the base, and replaced the engine with high performance batteries. Considering how light the lotus is, a 4 second sprint isn't that amazing...

On a side note, production will be subcontracted to lotus.
