Highschool is NOTHING like college so don't make that the basis of your decision.

No I'm not. I visted both types of campuses before I applied, and I really enjoyed the smaller schools.

That's perfectly fine. It really is a personal preference.

We're just trying to give you all the angles.

No, I appreciate it. To be honest, University of Florida was on my earlier lists of schools to apply to, and it is very large.

Well, since I dont mind sharing this with good friends, my list of schools I applied to:

Duke
UNC-Chapel Hill*
Univ. of Virginia
Univ. of Mich
Univ. of Penn
Univ. of MD-CP*

* means I've received acceptance letters so far from these schools. For CP, I got into their Gemstone program.............but it was a safety school so I doubt I'll go there. I look to major in business, and to answer my #1 FAQ: "No, I do not have a 1st choice". The rest of the results dont come out till later. I'm crossing my fingers!!!

Congratulations on the acceptances. It waws a very rough, and unnerving process. This is now the best part of the experience, sitting back and getting acceptances.

interesting...do students in your high schools usually opt to go to colleges far away from home? most people who are in sf, usually don't leave california, but it's probably because of the UCs.

True. I have friends in California and they don't bother with the East coast schools. Same thing applies here, to a lesser extent because some kids wanna get away from home. So they apply to Berkeley or USC etc...
