The trade-in value is about $40K. The private party resale value is about $45K. The dealer price is $50,500. And those are BEFORE tax/license.

So being offered at $49,717 OUT THE DOOR i think is pretty good, no? And to be honest, this isn't final: they've already said they may drop it another $500 or so, so something closer to $49K.

So technically, i'm already way under blue book.

I would run a carfax on the car just to make sure. If all is good, go for it.

Did you negotiate a trade-in? If you are disposing the X that way, there's another variable for you to play with..

btw. incase you want to know. there is a black on black m3 here on sale in boston. 54991 i think. 06, new, conv. original price 64720.and im sure you can negotiate more discount.. im not too sure what options but you can call and ask them. but if you are willing to come the distance and drive it back or ship it. BIG IF.. its at herb chambers bmw boston.

also: the 335 hangs with an M3 IN A STRAIGHT LINE the lack of an LSD in the rear will leave it spinning all its power away coming out of corners; not to mention leaving one long tire mark on a rapid get away
