Semi-jacking QwkAg's thread: I'm in mkt for my first ext HD...
I study the ads, I see the deals on Buy.com, et al, and am thoroughly confused. I'm not gonna store the Public Lib, so what the hell am I looking for in an ext HD? I simply want to back up pics, some financial data, and some other stuff. Any bullets or FABs I should be considering? Thanks... mD

World Book
This looks like a good option at a great price:
Western Digital WDG2NC10000N MyBook World II Edition 1TB Network Hard Drive WDG2NC10000N J&R has it for $359. It has remote access, net work drive and you can run it as mirror drives. |

At $359, how much would you save?

I've got three on my desk, all external USB connected:
500GB Western Digital MyBook (bulletproof) 500GB LaCie (somewhat flakey) 80GB iomega (bulletproof) I'd stick to the Western Digital units. |
