Pointing that out is trying to play to people's emotional side instead of their logical side. It's kind of like showing someone an American flag and the a video of the twin towers falling before they vote on whether or not to go to war. Likewise, one could show them the first 10 minutes of the movie "Saving Private Ryan" before voting whether or not to go to war. Either one of those two would be trying to influence them with emotion rather than logic.

To quote a wise character in a very popular movie series, I wonder what the great wise Jedi Master Yoda would say about making decisions based on emotion rather than reason.

Yes I do care, and that is why I do whatever I can to promote the idea of ending this terrible war. If the politicans that I voted for were in power the last 8 years, your close friend would still be alive.

I am truely sorry for your loss, but if you thought that seeing pictures of coffins would somehow cause me (or anyone else) to change their mind and now support the war, then you are going to be disappointed.

There is a reason why the Pentagon banned reporters from taking pictures of the coffins of soldiers. Seeing pictures of coffins with American soldiers in them does not exactly help promote support for the war, at least in most of us.

I don't think posting on the Internet qualifies as 'do(ing) whatever I cant to promote the idea of ending this terrible war'. And to say anything but thanks to a soldier or marine on Memorial day is plainly rude. You can question the action the day after if you like.
