Who is the longest vested X5 poster?

It's impossible to tell by our *join dates* because many of us have traveled from this site to that site.. (gotta admit, I do miss FF...) lol..

But I was wondering, how far back does everyone go.

I started posting X5 messages shortly before I purchased my model year 2000 X5 which was a CPO car, I acquired in November of 2001.

So I think I was about 11/01.....

You are correct Gresch, and If I were only talking about this site, I could tell that answer by looking at the join date on the right hand side.

But many of us were a community of posters long before there was an X5 world. - We had Bimmerfest and before that, the birth of X5 posting, Roadfly.

I'm sure many people here don't even know the history of this site and how it came to be.. And, how some of us were.... well..... lets just say, encouraged to find a new home for this community.. Something having to do with Friday's, lol..

So when did you join? and what was your first X5 site?

I started lurking in the shadows at RF when I got my 2001 X5 in May 2001. This is the first and only place I've actually posted. I remember seeing most of the original members here posting there. I came close to posting on RF once but thought it was a boys club and wasn't sure how I'd be received. Who knew

Just to clarify, I have been a member of X5world since Mar 2005. I'm happy to consider myself a charter member

But there was a community of at least 20-50 of us that traveled her from other forums. This is the site that just fit right..

i joined a couple of months after it was started, 4/20/05, before that i was on roadfly. But i wsan't into posting on automotive web sites much as back then I had forum admins working for me that were responsible for supporting the auto forums for about 70 sites, so it was like work

oh boy, that's a good question, somewhere around 2001 i think.... it's hard to remember, I was running the technical side of gr8ride.com for 3 years, that's 70 automotive sites....

I joined in 2005 shortly after buying my 2nd BMW X5 3.0i, I had always chatted on bmwboard.com since 2003
