I am not offering advice at all...and rebound the closest I have had to a child is my fiancee's 3yr old daughter...whom has lived with us for the past year

I have 2 kids. Sometimes you have to travel with them, and yes on a plane. It is not an easy thing to reason with a 19 month old. They are just children learning everything about the world. When they are tired they cry. That is just the way it works.

Wow. this is a tough one. But for those who don't have children you can only imagine what can happen. But try traveling with a 19 month old on a plane and this little human being decides he's having a bad day. Trust me it's embarassing because at that age there's not a lot you can do but try all you can to get a handle on it. But If that little bundle of joy (who by the way is now approaching terrible two's) decides "you know what I don't think i'm satisfied with my arrangements so far so i believe i'm gonna express my displeasure" what will you do? You can't beat him, the police will be waiting for you when you land.

This dosen't appear to be the case this time although the report from GMA seems to point out he's a bit active. Perhaps there's more to come but if the other passengers are any indication the flight attandant may have over-reacted.

But it does lead to a few other questions. Since when does an unruly child warrent turning around an aircraft? Over the past year we have flown a number of times and there seems to always be some child on board who's restless or boarding on "deserving the belt". Wouldn't the Captain want to check things out before making such a drastic move? What about the other attandants? Where were they? I guess it was one of those "You had to be there to see this one"
