Agree with Lemans and NCX.. I also have a Denon receiver which is the heart of my system. For speakers, I run B&W's which I could not be happier with.
If you have the space, go with floor standing speakers. They sound heads and shoulders above the wall mounted plasma type speakers.

thanks guys. on the panny vs pioneer, i went to the pioneer lab to see the "test". don't take this as a pissing match, but... the best pioneers outperform the best panny.

they have every single make and model (lcd and plasma) on the same feed at the same time. they send through all sorts of stuff and you can see the difference and why the new pioneer models are better. now, the big question is, can you see the difference over typical hdtv feeds NOT from their test gear? probably not.... but it sure is good to know that should quality increase, the pioneer is in the best condition to take that challenge on.

also thanks for the info on the speakers. i am going with the def audio mythos with 2 subs.

thanks again

The picture is amazingly, amazingly great. I have not a second of regret. When I was in the store, I was comparing it to the Pioneer Elite. They both were running 1080p signals. The Pioneer Elite, while in my mind, was the second best tv in the store, it didn't hold a candle to the Panasonic. I wish it did though, would have saved a couple K..

There are some new products coming from major brands with HDMI 1.3a compatibility starting these months. Even if you don't want these new products, the price of existing products will fall when they hit the stores. Check more info here
