I am done. It took me a few hours to figure out which software works with what and I feel you do need to know Unix a little bit (some files were not chmodded and SSH server refused to restart). There might be a simpler GUI install available but for now it does take half an hour or so to get it done right.

All in all, I have an unlocked phone and can offer free services to the X5world members! (iPhone not included and no you do not need an AT&T account)

There are tons of great native iPhone applications that I feel is the real deal here. This thing is going to fly just on the variety of apps available (TapTap, Stumbler, MobileMoney, eBook reader, NES emulator, VoiceNotes, iChat just to name a few and tons are coming out every day)

PS: This is a great gadget to tinker with.
