I use cruise regularly - I really like it. I wish our X's had adaptive cruise like some other newer vehicles - I think that's a great idea and am anxious to try it out. Don't the newer 5's & 7's have that? I wonder if it can be retrofitted? Hmmm...

I use it, only occasionaly, on our long runs to NJ/NY or FLA. I find
it gives my right leg a lil'break. OTOH, with the traffic clogged bubbles on the interstates, left hand daydreamers, and general near-idiot level of "skill" out on the freeways, cruise is not what it used to be. Can hardly wait for the nextgen of cruise w/the dopplers and autobraking, etc. We need more of those gizmos like I need more 3 putts. I must say the "best" cruise control I've ever used is to be found on my '94 GoldWing: it is easy to put on, a slight index finger brake lever tap disengages it, and it is dead nuts on, speed-wise, regardless of up hill or downhill, or wind, etc. NEway, cruise maybe of real benefit in the western/unpopulated states.
