Electrons were discovered in the late 19th century and the science of them was well established by WWI. Einstein's theory of relativity, which was written in 1905, makes many assumptions about electrons and their behavior.

Wow, did it require an airline ticket to make that jump in logic? When did I ever say all scientists are wrong? It is GIGANTIC assumptions like that that make people believe that a Utopia is possible. And I'm amazed by your ever growing talent to bring war into every single post...it rivals my ability to post whore.

Perhaps the UN report is a "crock":

Alarming UN report on climate change is too rosy, many say

The blunt and alarming final report of the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, released here by UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, may well underplay the problem of climate change, many experts and even the report's authors admit.

Of course...force every one to live in fear of things you have no capacity to control.

I wonder what people would say if for 4 years Bushy boy had proclaimed we live in fear and spend tons of money on the EPA.....and funded oil companies for better solutions to fuel...I'm SURE people would have claimed it was over spent...

99%??????????? maybe of a select number, many of which are in totally unrelated fields. Yes, global warming extists and has for millenium. The earth has gone thru many warming & cooling periods. Exclusively "blaming" mankind for this current warming period, mostly due to "projections", is Chicken Little screaming, "The sky is falling". Your scientists can't even prove what caused all the previous warming & cooling periods of earth's history. To definitively say that mankind has caused this warming trend and that their "projections" are actually fact is completely irresponsible. It's "science" at it's worst..., a conclusion (read theory) looking for a question. "An inconvenient truth" left out quite a few "inconvenient" facts that did not fit into their exclaimation of "truth". I, too, could be the next Albert Einstein, if I could get away with ignoring anything that did not fit into my "truth"(read theory) of the world and science. IMHO, any "truth" fronted by a politician is more likely to be 5% truth and 95% fiction. There is still too much not yet known. Remember, these are the same people who forecasted 120+ deg average temps for 2000-2010 back in the 60's. The same ones who said after 2005 & Katrina, that "global warming" caused all these hurricanes and we would see even more next year and on. 2006 & 2007 showed nothing like their "truth". More like another inconvenient fact contrary to their "inconvenient truth".

When ice is formed, CO2 levels in the air at that time are trapped in the ice particles. When the ice is later melted down in laboratories, scientists can tell the C02 levels that were present in the atmosphere when that ice was formed. Because ice in the glaciers is formed during the winter, and then melts during the summer, when you cut a cross section into the glaciers in Greenland or Antarctica, you see a series of stripes -- one stripe representing each year, with the current year on the top. Scientists can tell CO2 levels going back many thousands of years by counting the levels down the glacier and testing the ice. This is not a disputed science.

Based on that science, this is what they know:

The only assumption necessary is that the laws of physics were the same back then.

oh and that the environment was the same. Simple question, before humans arrived.....more importantly before the 1900's.....how exactly did all the other warming and cooling of the planet occur? Giant cattle fields, Brontosaurus gas, etc.....

It isn't so much a question of 'is the climate changing' as it is 'why do humans believe they are so significant'. These changes have all happened before, without human intervention. And to assume that human changes can halt or reverse a natural process is amazingly arrogant. I don't take the position that we aren't adversely effecting the environment, my position is that all the "changing" in the world isn't going to stop the process. If anything, nature will evolve and make things worse..not better.

Another simple question, are eggs good or bad for you?

No, that assumption is not necessary. The C02 tests they run on the ice is pure chemistry and physics. Environment is not a factor.
