Trip up to NYC. My dad insists we must leave at 6am to beat the traffic tomorrow.

The Washington DC- New York drive is my least favorite drive in the world. There's always lots of traffic, speed zones, tolls, and no viable alternative routes. And the scenery is rubbish.

As for me, I started marinating my bird this past Monday night. 8 heads of garlic with rosemary, thyme, seasalt, olive oil. Blend the garlic and ingredients into a paste and smear it all over the turkey. Let marinate for 3 days, cook and eat. Ummmmmmmmmm, garlic turkey !!!!!!

Having 18 people over to my place. I always throw a big Thanksgiving. And we make two birds so there is plenty left over for garlic turkey sandwiches all week long..

Talk about organic...There have been a bunch of wild turkeys hanging around the last few weeks at my house. My wife counted 35 this evening in the front yard and my labs were chasing a few around in the back yard earlier in the day. All females with one male turkey strutting his stuff.

I considered trapping one and having a great wild turkey for tomorrow but remembered what a PITA it is to clean up a fresh bird.

Oh well...Lucky turkeys.

My high school I graduated from hold's an annual Turkey Bowl, they open the field and the football alumni come and play a game. The team's are the 90's vs the 2000's, as in who graduated in the 90's, and who graduated in the 2000's. I am on the 90's team an we have won the last 9 years, as an added bonus my brother plays on the other team and my cousin who graduated last year is now on the opposite team so I get to smack them around for the day!!! Then we eat for the rest of the day.
