X5audi,

You are WRONG regarding the third row. I have had family staying with us and we having been driving around for days with teenagers in the 3rd row in the X5. They deliver what BMW claims that they deliver --- seats for short people. If my X5 didn't have 3rd row, we have to be using two cars.

I am not saying that I would buy an X5 if 3rd row seats were REALLY important to me but, for occasional usage, they're going to work just fine.

The body kit with exhaust and wheels cost about 10k usd. The engine upgrade costs about 3k usd.

As I mentioned earlier, the 4.2tdi Q7 nicely loaded costs close to 200k usd.

A 4.2tdi Q7 is approx 20k usd more expensive than a E70 3.0sd.

I'm also waiting for Hartge to get back to me with the prcies to take the E70's engine to 335hp and the body kit.

 I assume the "200k usd" is a typo?

200k usd = $200,000.00

The Q7 I spec'd was $186,000.00 without engine upgrade and body kit.

HI Everyone, I just thought I would go back to this thread because I wanted to see the pics:-)
As some might know, I actually ended up getting the X5 E70 for the wifey and I got an M5 E60 for myself. Thing is ... I just got a great offer on my M5 and sold it last month right before winter. Now my problem is what to get??? I now know I want something with 4x4, nice performance and ok fuel consumption after 2 yrs with an M5;-)

So, I am re-thinking the Q7 issue with the 4.2tdi and the abt option(pics above). After 2 years, do any of you have any suggestions?

Get a X5 5.0i. or X6 50i, How did you like the M5? What years was your and how much did you sell it for? I am leaning that direction this year. I have been wanting one since 06.

I LOVED the M5! I have to say that it isn't the easiet daily driver to have. The fuel consumption and small fuel tank was an issue after some time. The SMG needs getting used to. Performance is amazing!

I did consider the X6M or X6 5.0, but I don't think I can do without the 5th seat and I want something with better fuel consumption.
The 4.0d is still the 3liter that pumps 306hp, not much more than the 3.0sd.
