Sad story.
12 year old kills his 1 year old sibling...but there is more to this IMO. First off why was a 12 year old baby-sitting a 10 year old and 1 year old? Sounds like way too much responsibility for a 12 year old child IMO and obviously he couldn't handle it. I was nervous about letting a 15 year old watch my 1 year old for 3 hours for crying out loud.

Sad indeed. Its a parents worst nightmare. In this case you are right IMO what the hell were they thinking. My wife and I a few years ago started interviewing grad students at a local college for babysitting and it has worked out great...once we got a few they introduced us to some very trustworthy friends and now we have a stable of responsible babysitters for our kids (7 and 4) when ever we need them. How much do you guys pay an hour for sitting?
