LOL! Yes, I definitely saw the movie. In the theater, during it's original run, actually. That was where I first discovered Mel Brooks. I've been a fan ever since. ![]() The play follows the film pretty closely, so we watched the DVD a day or two before seeing the play, so things would be fresh in our minds. It was great. The Gene Wilder part is played incredibly well by the guy on Desperate Housewives who was Bree's crazy Pharmacist husband. He's fantastic, and has a long history as one of Mel Brooks' stable of actors. Megan Mulally shows why she was so great on Will & Grace, but best of all, watch out for Andrea Martin as Frau Blueker. (Do I hear horses neighing?) She practically steals the show. Get excited about going - the show is great fun. I look forward to hearing what you think of it. ![]() Dave

I am excited about going, more so now hearing that you saw the movie and still thought the show was great. I was afraid it would lose something. It's two weeks from today

Yeah, it definitely holds up well, as long as you remember you're seeing a stage play, so things will be slightly different than they are in the film. The dialog is the same, so you'll be able to look forward to your favorite scenes. The sets are great, the actor's timing was spot-on, and the songs only add to the fun. It's a hoot. Leave it to Mel Brooks to do something like this. Think of the film: The scene with "Put the candle BACK!!!" plays even better on stage than it did in the film. You're gonna love it. ![]() You HAVE seen the website for it, haven't you? http://www.youngfrankensteinthemusical.com/ Dave
