Now I don't want to hurt your feelings and I certainly don't want a stupid smart arse reply from you.

I am however sick to the back teeth with your Avatar. Your Sig Pic but more so
your continued use of Porn and your frankly non stop reference in just about every god dam post you make to Sex/Porn.

Now I am no preud but come on enough is enough clean your posts up a bit.

Now I realise this is the Lounge and you can post whatever but there is a limit ok the odd post but not every second post.

There are Porn sites you can go visit (so I have been told) if thats the kinda thing your into.

Now I could have put this in a PM to you and maybe I should have. I thought however that there may be other members out there that feel the same way and if they care to comment that perhaps you would listen more.

Hey F,

I think you put your thoughts in your post well. However, there's a simple solution: add SJ to your ignore list.

but otherwise it's Quick Links -> Edit Profile -> Buddy/Ignore Lists

I have added a couple of members to mine mostly because of all the off-topic junk they post. It's not of interest to me and a lot of the time the "offenders"

use a non-descriptive or, worse, deceptive title for their posts. I wish the forum software was more flexible and could just not show threads started by those members because sometimes they have interesting posts in other discussions.

Also, I turn off the signatures since I think they just waste bandwidth

Agreed, that solves the problem of the tasteless posts by a couple of offensive jerks, but it only solves it for those that use the ignore feature. It doesn't solve the broader problem of the entire board being dragged down. We can't 'fix' the internet, I realize that. What we can do is work to protect the small corner of it that a lot of us spend time in, by pointing out (in a polite way) when we see posts that are not contributing but rather harming the community. Yes, I realize that is a judgement, so I will add an "IMHO" to that line.

The maturity of some of these posts smacks of 12 year olds. I don't choose to hang out with 12 year olds. I think it is a shame that the maturity target is established by those who represent the lowest common denominator.

The moderators can decide how they will handle it, that is their role. This thread, and others like it, are simply a few votes for active moderation.

Well said...Bigotry and hate have no place here. This will be my last response to this thread as I don't want to get dragged into something which has the potential to spin out of control.
