Then, my comment to that is might as well wait till the iPhone 2 comes out (surfing on EDGE speed is really slow).
He needs his smartphone now. Besides, to run the medical programs, there is nothing wrong with using the Treo/Centro line. It works for now, you can make phone calls, surf the web, has better e-mail functionality than the iPhone....heck, you can even send pictures with SMS which you can't do with the iPhone.
I am not beating up on the iPhone. I think it is a great smartphone for certain people. However, IMHO, for my use, it would not work.
I'm hoping for the SDK to come out and let's see what happens next year and by then we'll see where the dust settles.
However, other than STATDOC & I, no one else here understands the need for medical software on the PDA/Smartphone. So, everyone can argue about how much better the functionality about one phone over the other, but when it comes to experience in using medical software, you'll have to discuss it with a physician who actually uses the software on the daily basis.
