As some of you were previous M3 owners, you know that the M3 is not meant for drag racing as the stats imply. It is a blend of BMW's true testimony of making a sports sedan and the M3 just emphasizes the sports portion....i.e. for having fun at the track while combining the comfort and luxury of a daily driver.
There will be some cars faster than the M3 on the 0-60 times and some may handle better, but none will combine the comfort, luxury, and practicality of this sports GT. I enjoy all BMWs!

I can't wait to get behind the wheel. 'She who must be obeyed' will be replacing her E46 M3 Vert and is looking strongly at the 335i vert. We are waiting to see what the new M3 is like and if she can 'deal' with it as a daily driver . Not a bad choice I guess either way. I do agree with the other posters that the E46 M3 is starting to get dated, both in looks and in perfromance. |

The new 335i cabrio is so expensive I actually wouldn't buy one. I liked the old convertible (well, the E46 lineup as a whole) a lot. I remember when I built a late-model 330cic with options, it wound up right around the base price of a new one. |

Did you miss the $70K tag for the Coupe?? You plan on getting anything in that car?? I would never buy an E46 over the current model

Guess so since R&T got theirs for $70k.
Think about that, the coupe starts at a shade under 60K, now put permium/cold weather/sports in it....hello $70K.

http://www.xoutpost.com/other-bmws/41...ing-sheet.html I'd take the EDC, Premium sound, and maybe the 19" wheels. No charge for non-metallic Alpine White paint. $60950, perhaps a gas guzzler tax. Nowhere near $70k. Leather, heated seats (except cabrios), and premium packages are things I'd always skip on most BMWs if I had a choice. |
