uuugggghh!!!

You guys are all nut jobs... How do you really think arming yourself with automatic weapons is 'self defense'??

Crapping on about waiting periods... most of us in the rest of the world can live their entire life without having ONE single gun... let alone the arsenal displayed here..

If you really are into range shooting, go get a pistol (a la olympics) and shoot for skill. The justification for multiple auto's is pure w$nk..

And WTF is this? A child handling a sniper weapon??? Have you guys no perspective?

I'm not a woose, (have shot pistols up to 50 cals on ranges as part of my previous jobs)... but I can honestly say that seeing the reality of a persons brains all over a wall as the result of a suicide or gun battle is a reality that most gun owners would fairly sh@t themselves when confronted....

Who mentioned automatic weapons? I see several SEMI-automatic weapons, but apparently missed the reference to automatics. Unless you don't know the difference.

So, are you also going to tell the car enthusiasts that they should not own big V8 cars any more? They really only need a small 4 cylinder car, preferably a hybrid. Some folks like to own Porsches and race them. Some like 4 wheel drive trucks out in the mud. I thought we believed in freedom, including the freedom to have hobbies and interests that others don't share. I own weapons for a variety of reasons, one of which is to protect myself and my family from those who would do us harm. I have seen the brains splattered on the wall many times, and if the choice is my family's well-being or a thug's, I won't hesitate to splatter his.

It is up to the rest of us to have the arsenals, to make up for you slackers who refuse to do your part.

I don't see any automatic weapons???? I use my little tiny subcompact 9mm for self defense though

THAT is the sweet, sweet smell of jealousy.

I would say that it takes more skill to shoot some of these guns over a plinker.

Again, I see no auto's. If I could afford them though, you BET I would own them! What justification do I need? Do you need justification to have a car that can go faster than the speed limit? Take turns faster than what is safe?

We are apparently trained killers I guess??? But hell, I don't swat the flies that bother me.

ALso, owning multiple cars that can easily kill people are just as stupid.

Think of it this way; some people have stamp collections, some collect cars (some even collect RACE CARS!!!! the humanity) , HELL, some people even collect (gasp) SHARKS!!! POISOINOUS SPIDERS AND SNAKES!!!! scary looking porcelain dolls, and some of us choose to collect guns.

You would be surprised at the people who COLLECT guns, and shoot guns regularly because it is in fact, FUN. Not only that, but look at your own country. They took all of the LEGAL guns away, and now all of the "bad guys" have them, and violent crime is getting worse every year.

LOTS of people would argue that it's pretty pathetic that you not only need two cars, but you need to overpay for two BMW's, and get the bigger engine to boot! So you stick with your doll collecting and BMW's, and we'll stick to guns and BMW's .

Even though I suck at it, I consider photography another hobby of mine. See, I don't just shoot the guns, I shoot the camera too

Here's another bumper sticker I caught last Friday on my way home from work:

"God will forgive Osama Bin Lade...We need to arrange the meeting"

Haha, kind of like "if a pilot crashes a plane because of human error, do you go after Boeing?"

I for one don't see a reason for me to have a semi-auto rifle a la AR-15, but I'm not going to tell others they can't have it. I wouldn't want people telling me which ones I could or couldn't have. IMO, if you are responsible enough to own any type of firearm, you should be responsible enough to own nearly any kind.

As for "kids" using sniper rifles and the like, again..I wouldn't, but if some kid wants to target shoot with his fathers rifle..so be it. I remember my uncle having an old M60 in his 'arsenal'.

I am a pistol owner, originally from NJ. When I moved out to Idaho, I went down to the police station to see if I had to register being a gun owner and asked if I needed any permits. The desk sargent looked a me a bit perplexed. Then said, "wait a minute" and went back to see her LT. She came back, told me," You don't need a permit, but if you want a concealed weapon permit, that's down the hall and to the left. You're out WEST now!"
