Nice Danes. Just watch out for skin problems - blues are known for it. I had a Harlequin Dane once. Gorgeous dog.

Krimson X, I was going to mention this also. Blues in Weims (and prob the Danes) are the result of a double-recessive trait, so be very careful about purchasing them. They CAN have issues that the "normal" colors of these breeds might not have (such as the skin problem). In fact, the blue Weims used to be killed out of litters because they were considered defects.

I have two Weims and they are great dogs - just make sure you have the time to play with them every day because they are very active dogs. Even my 13-yr old Weim wants to go out and play ball at least once a day.

This is an old pic - the youngest is about 80 lbs. now.

Those are Handsome dogs!

I remember as a kid, we had a weimaraner. It was absolutely crazy and ate everything and anything in the house. I vividly remember coming home from school one day and my mother telling us that "coco" went to live on a farm!

Thanks!! Yea, a buddy of mine got a Blue Weim from a rescue since he loved our first one so much - dog ended up having separation anxiety and ate thru a door trying to get out of their basement. It ended up "going to a farm" too.

Krimson - just to clarify, that was not bc it was a Blue - we later found out the dog had been raised couped up in a bathroom in a lady's apartment - not something you want to do with a Weim.
