Marriage is still going strong, but although my wife is an "import", our dating, living together and all, was not a "mail order" service. It just happened that we met on a local "Fest", and I was actually approached by her mother, who asked me if I'm an American, and started the conversation about her living in the States for a while, as a young student. When her daughter joined us, I was floored. She looked like Annie Lennox (she still does, she is full 6' tall, and I am 6'3"), and I went gaga!
Anyway,....sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. This is my third marriage (two ex American wives were cheating every time I was deployed!!), and the third is a charm for me.

I'm sorry this is not working for you, but I don't "approve" of the mail service dating anyway. If you have the means, travel to Eastern (or Western for that matter!!) Europe, and spend some time over there. If you meet a woman without a pretext of marriage, you'll have much better chances. I arrived in Germany in April, met my wife in July, and moved in with her in a new condo in Munich (her studio was too small for both of us!) in October. After living together for over a year in Germany, we came to US, lived another year and change together, and got married after, about three years of dating/living together. There was no question of either her or mine motives, goals, and aspirations.
We are now married for seven years and three months, and we know each other for ten and a half years.

I would be VERY concerned about the motives of a girl that wants to find a husband over the net, and come to US. But I've seen some marriages like that that worked beautifully, and I've seen some that failed miserably. Bottom line,....it's a crap shoot! Be careful, and good luck.
