I had the same feeling until I gave it a try

My 2001 X5 4.4 Sport with the Dinan S2 wants to "drift" if I floor it with the front wheels turned - Frankly, I've been too scared to keep my foot down - I may try it this summer in Idaho as this set of Diamaris will need to be replaced anyway - Also not sure how the drivetrain will react to all 4 wheels spinning at different speeds..., so then again, maybe not - I think a trip to Bonneville Salt Flats to try(there is no try, grasshopper, especially in a Dinan 4.4) to join the 130 club is as far as I want to push my X5 - the 150 club requires too much modifying

A dinan stage 2 4.4 should hit 150 without a problem, it should be pumping out similar numbers to my 4.8is and I can vouch for the fact that it does the claimed 153 (maybe more b/c the speedometer was reading a little higher but there is some error to be worked in)

I don't know about anyone else, but seeing a very nice looking X5 ride around in any matter is pretty nice. Youtube needs more videos of the E70 on roads.

Oh, I'm not worried about reaching 150. BONNEVILLE RACEWAY requires a rollcage and a bunch more to attempt the 150 club. The 130 club only requires a helmet and fire extinquisher. I've already figured my top end is 168 based upon Dinan redline 6300rpm. Already hit 134 on lonely Nevada road and have often cruised at 110-120. The 5000lb wgt of the X5 help keeps it glued to the road. Other than a speedometer at 2 o'clock and that you need to speed read the road signs, it feels solid & quiet and virtually no different than driving at slower speeds.
