Anything other than Windows Vista is good. Even a calculator may work better.

"There's a little bias here" for Mac's??... well .....Not really.

I think by far there are more PC users around here. They just refuse to post because they would rather avoid the debate. Personally i don't blame them. And in their defense they have made their choice based on their needs and that's a good thing..

If this advice is the only criteria to make a decision i would avoid the advice. Why because unless I am mistaken, XP is still the standard in the PC world. No one HAS to use Vista.

You know what I meant. Those that will take the time to post how good one OS or platform is better than another are typically Apple fans.

Others of us have been using PCs for many years (20 in my case) and are quite comfortable with Windows Vista... I wouldn't throw a Mac away if it arrived at my door but I see no reason to buy one.

I'm also not here to defend Windows XP, whose faults are many. My point is simply that if you are buying a new computer to run Windows applications, XP is the right choice; Vista is the wrong choice.

Sound like the bad and the really bad.

I believe the OP was trying to get opinions from both sides so i expect he was looking for people who have been using PCs for many years. So your knowledge and and detailed description of the pros and cons from your perspective would have been helpful. In doing so i believe he would have been able to determined that you preferred PC's.

I suspect that you want to argue and disagree with everything I post.

Most Mac's and PC's are based on an Intel chip, the primary difference is the operating system. XP Windows is old, Vista the replacement is flawed therefor get a Mac, it comes comes with a good current operating system. I own both a PC and a Mac I did use Windows for many years, right now a Mac is better; you know that why argue?
