Mac or PC?
I need to upgrade my desktop. I don't think I will use it for gameplay, I have Xbox360. Mostly email, pictures and eventually video. Pros and Cons from those in the know would be great.

Mac.
+ Better screens. Better interfaces. iPhoto is nice. iLife in general, very good. Fast. Good amount of memory. Reliability. Pop-ups (or lack thereof). - I can't think of anything at the moment.

Both have their merits but you can run windows if you need to on a Mac.

The problem with a PC is that the "new" operating system Vista has issues, get a MAC.

If this advice is the only criteria to make a decision i would avoid the advice. Why because unless I am mistaken, XP is still the standard in the PC world. No one HAS to use Vista.
