I-85 is lax on enforcement. NC in general is lax on enforcement, but their pavement needs work. The speedometer in E90s is 5 km/h optimistic; the car knows its true speed under hidden menu item 8.0.

In the South, speeding is the norm. On I-85, I set the cruise at 140km/h because the flow of traffic is that fast. Those North Carolina drivers really like to drive quickly (and run red lights). And if you do <110km/h (68mph) on I-64 west of Richmond, you'll be totally run off the road even in the right lane. Enforcement is tight north of Fredericksburg, VA and all of NoVA.

No, I'm not pre-law. But disclaimers lessen my liability for any actions that may or may not result as a result of my words, written and/or expressed.
haha. good to know. I saw two the whole time, but it was the chargers in NC that worried me. Tell me about this hidden menu (PM?) I had a tomtom on, and at 82 indicated, i was doing 75 (MPH). eek. 2 cops through VA the whole way. NY was way worse.
