I don't think anyone thought your comments were crap, nobody said "geez that is dumb". It is spawned from the fact that every time this topic is brought up someone outside the US says "oh it's harder here" or something to that tune. Nothing was directed at you personally.

You'd have to understand that someone paying 300% more for a product in less then 6 years is probably not going to take kindly to "oh it could be worse". But don't think for a second the aggressive reactions were on you, more so the situation.
