Bluetooth headsets

I've had a few different ones and haven't really been using one lately but will need to get a new one in preparation for California's upcoming hands-free law effective July 1st.

I'd love the new version of the excellent Aliph Jawbone but at $130 it's a bit pricey. Another alternative is the Motorola H12 at $85.

Has anyone had experience with either one? From what I've read, the Jawbone is the best and the H12 is a decent competitor but reviews seem mixed.

Jawbone is $85 here. Don't know if it's the same model though. It looks a little different.

Yes, there is a sleek new model with newer noise cancellation. It's cool.

have you heard about the $39.00 bluetooth unit from costco?
It's a plug in unit but it's all the rage. Lot's of people have bought
it and it's compatible with everything and pairs with everything.

It's a good consideration because not everyone wants to walk
around with that thing in their ear.

Not sure if this is it and they raised the price to $54.00 or what

Don't get the Motorola H12. It has plastic ear buds. Although that sounds good, because you can adjust the ear buds to your size ear canal, ultimately, the plastic fitting always gets lost. I had that problem with my very expensive Sony, noise cancelling headphones.

I have used this BT headset for years and would't consider buying anything but. I just bought one for the wife yesterday:
Motorola H710

I was considering this one. I'd like to see how well in mounts and integrates with the X5 mirror and I'd like to know if I could hardwire it into my V1 12v power plug in the same area.

Good idea. I actually got a Jabra 5050 BT speaker phone from Costco a few months ago when they had a coupon. It works okay and has some nice features but the speaker is a bit quiet.

I need something for something I can use outside of the car too.

Yes it does and it works very well but I need it for my work car that I'm driving 90% of the time.

I won't get the H12. It is tempting because it looks slick and comes with lots of accessories. I'm not too keen on the H710. My wife has one and it works well but a friend has one too and his works terribly.

What have you guys heard about new Jawbone? The demos and reviews are very impressive.

K-,

Just ordered the new Jawbone yesterday. Had a few Apple techies rave about the new version plus the review posted above. I'll know soon.
