Wow I feel sorry for you, I attend our Pride every year, and those people in said photos are far from the average person attending such an event, like any community the Gay community is a melting pot of many different people and cultural back rounds, so the photographers could literally photograph any type of the "community" and call it the norm.

Pride is about celebrating who you are and the on-going fight for equal rights. Such comments prove why the fight lives on.

And the majority of these people want to be seen and heard in the news.

Because a number of gay men dress up in costume to celebrate gay pride, that means there is a correlation between their sexual activity and their ability to be a good parent?

It constantly amazes me how so many of you can be homophobic. As a straight, married man, I can, without hestitation, tell you that most of the gay and lesbian people I know would be much better parents than most of my straight friends.

I also have a number of straight friends that were raised by gay parents. Why don't you ask some of them how they feel?

Placing a value on someones ability to parent because of their sexual orientation is no different than saying, black or asian or jews shouldn't be allowed to parent because of, blah, blah, blah..

And hate speech is hate speech, regardless of how you color it... Black or RAINBOW...

Dressed up like a Mardi-Gras reject running around the street, I believe that is ample fodder for a commentary. IMO, the "I'm trying to reject from Mom and Dad with my ridiculous outfit on" attitude takes away greatly from the seriousness of the cause and the real issues attempting to be brought up. Though IMO, again, I think everyone is quite aware that homosexuals exist. I also think there are very large groups of people who believe fully that all rights should be equal. That said, running around like a Halloween party on crack, simply makes people seem foolish and question why it is they are supporting the cause. IMO of course.

There is no point in the over-the-top space outfits. It sure doesn't help the cause. Why not just march in the typical clothes that you wear? Unless I am missing something and many gay people wear balloon peacock feathers and masquerade masks in everyday life.

I also think some people are being harsh on the children situation. There are plenty of kids out there that need homes and plenty of good gay and lesbian couples that can make a positive difference in their lives. I personally think best case scenario would be to have good parents who are heterosexual, but there are a lot of bad heterosexual parents out there and their kids would probably be better off with good homosexual parents.

So... the religion aspect I don't get. How can you say YOUR GOD has to control every man and woman on earth. Not everyone has to follow the rules of any religion. Just as the freedom of religion clause in the first ammendment in the constitution of the country you serve.

I support the concept of peoples right to be gay and same sex marriage.

I do not support the concept that gay people are not subject to question about dress and other issues. This is America and we have free speech discussion.

Therefore it is never time back off the gay issue.
