Man - this is why I like this forum. Stories like this...

Rabid squirrels saying "hello" to Peanuto and on top of that birds too...
Meiac09 has snakes too...

What else is coming to the house? Cows, moose, gators etc? Is Noah missing other animals?

Yeah, when the squirrel came down the chimney my weinerdog, usually pretty tough, flipped out and ran into the room chasing it upstairs. When the squirrel got up on the curtainrod however there was a gross height disadvantage due to the weinerdog leg-length

I didn't know you could tell if an animal is rabid or not by listening to it. What kind of noise would a rabid squirrel make?

Its not any specific noise, but the fact that rabid animals are usually very vocal. Rarely if ever quiet for extended periods of time. From a squirrel I would expect near non stop chippering is all I can think to call it.

Yup, a cat would take care of any intruder no matter how quick or small.

Doubtful...we have two older, but tough cats that have been outdoors
in the woods everyday for their 18 years...they have never actually
caught and eaten a squirrel, gray or red mtn variety. Squirrels are much
tougher than people tend to think and will fight to fookin death...not
saying no cat ever caught one, but they are faster, stronger, dbl jointed
in all four feet, live outside, etc.

I repeat my point that rabid squirrels are about as common as Z8 cars...

Correct. A Squirrel got under my wood pile and decided not to come out and no-matter what i tried he resisted. Of course he lost the battle (me bigger than he) but he put up a good fight.

I convinced him with a water hose and a stick.
