Thanks for the kind words and support everyone.

Today I get to leave the hospital and go home to my family and dog, I cant wait to get out!

My body continues to grow stronger everyday but my arms are very weak. I cant lift them up or move them. I also have no sense of temperature from the neck down.

My spirits are still strong though and my ultimate goal is to drive my X again.

this all happened from diving off the back of a friends boat in 4 ft of water. the past 2 weeks i've had alot of ups and downs but my family and friends have been great to me. I have every resource available and all the support i need.

thanks again for all the love and support,
I will continue to check in and give everyone updates.

Pete, good luck with everything. I'm fairly new here and read all the great and supportive comments to you. You'll pull through, get the feeling of temperature back, arm function back and next thing you know, you'll be driving your X5 soon!!! Keep positive and it seems like you're on the good road to recovery since the doc is sending you home. Physical therapy sucks but will get you back. Keep tough and positive!

I must have misread your post a few days ago. I thought you said you had a driving accident.

When I read your story and realized it was a "diving" accident, chills went up my arm. I know two people who had similar accidents with much worse injuries.. I know it might not seem it right now, but you're very lucky, at least compared to the people I know that had similar accidents.

Get well soon...

Seems like you are on the right track and will get back into an active life in time. Rehab seems to go better when you are home, but it is hard for sure. Wishing you a fast recovery.
