The funny thing about Obama supporters and Anti-McCain articles or blogs. They all focus on pointing fingers or fact checking McCain. Hardly ever do I see anything that has a focus on why people should vote for Obama. Its always about why people shouldn't vote for McCain.

I wasn't asking a question, but even if I was your reply was quite typical of Obama lovers. Whenever they get asked a serious questions about details, they'll always say that they've mentioned them at some point and tell other people to go find out for themselves.

lakai,
What I don't get is that you started this thread, it veered not surprisingly
to 'Bama vs. McPain, (neither of whom can really address, let alone "fix"
a decade plus worth of 3 Card Monte inventions by the Street), and
yet the O vs Mc drum keeps getting pounded, even by you, Thread
Originator...

I can hardly wait for the elections to be over...

Imo, this financial mess may be the most complex, serious non-war situ, this
country has faced in my lifetime.

I responded directly to Wagner's "half-truth" post about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

As far as Rev. Wright (to which Obama has offered as fair game during this political season) and others, I offer this:

If you are McCain or Gov. Palin it is ok to attend churches over the years whose pastors say that people who voted for John Kerry or merely criticize George W. Bush are going to hell, and that the U.S. is an explicitly Christian nation and the job of Christians is to bring Christian theological principles into government, and who bring in speakers who say the conflict in the Middle East is God’s punishment on Jews for rejecting Jesus, and everyone can still think you’re just a good church-going Christian, but if you’re Obama and friends with a Rev. Wright who has noted (as have Colin Powell and the U.S. Department of Defense) that terrorist attacks are often the result of U.S. foreign policy and who talks about the history of racism and its effect on black people, you’re an extremist who probably hates America.

If you are Gov. Palin it is ok to have a husband who was a member of an extremist political party that wants your state to secede from the Union, and whose motto was “Alaska first,” and no one questions your patriotism or that of your family, while if you're Obama everyone questions your patriotism because you do not wear a flag lapel pin or becaues you have a tenuous link to William Ayers.
OK then where are McCain's links to a Racist, Gangster, Anti-Semite or Convicted Terrorist?

I guess Obama does have something McCain doesn't because they both have links to lobbyists along with every other politician. I'd say your story has no legs and is just more campaign rhetoric.

LOL I my reason for this thread was genuine. Somehow it turned into a Obama vs. McCain thread and veered way off topic which was not my fault.

Nothing I said was half-true....but party fans do like to makes stuff up.
Unless of course you can produce actual data that shows Obama doesn't rank number 2 in taking money from Fannie/Freddie and doesn't have former F/F staff on his sidelines It's a shame, some had such high hopes of Obama being different. I know I did about a year ago. Sad to see he is the same, or conceivably worse, then every other politician.

Oh and Lakai, I'll sum up the 'reasons' for you: "I don't like McCain" and...um...that was it.

MD and Quick, I can sympathize But you have to believe that after 8 years of Bush, this election would be a sparring session I just wish people could address the facts without feeling the overwhelming need to supply a competing piece of information to try to null out the other. Kind of like kids in a sandbox "why did you take Jimmy's shovel, well...he took my ball last week".

hey ignorants:

McCain was trying to reform Fannie and Freddie 2005 (republican majority congress?).. blocked. then he again urged for this bill in May of 2006, he was not on the committee, and the Democrat Committee killed it in 2006.. its all in the senate records, including his speech on it, where he warned this would cost the taxpayers down the road if it wasn't reined in immediately...

get your facts straight

You are a funny guy. Nothing I said was made up. Seeing what you want to see... again. That is a shame.

I never said he didn't rank no. 2 in that regard. In fact I agreed with you that it was probably true. Obviously you have a problem with reading. I said they both have F/F problems in my first post on this thread. Unless you can produce actual data that shows McCain does not have F/F staff on his team....Then I rest my case.
