Please no apology's needed. I didn't think it was a personal attack but your verbal approach ie "QS, my friend, you speak exactly as liberals have spoken for generations" was directed at me so i answered as best i could.

Honestly sometimes i hate responding via keyboard. Guess I'm not very good at it...........

I watch the news daily and
I can't remember the last
time i heard about someone
jumping from the bridge.

I have heard on the news about a number
of people lately who (as you say)
have shot themselves in the garage.

There were 622 suicides in the nine Bay Area
counties in 2005, and 599 of those were not
involving the Golden Gate Bridge.

I think the GGB is privately owned so the 50M is coming from the outrageous toll. The free way to stop jumpers is to stop foot traffic on the bridge. It's not like there is anything worth walking over to on the Marin side, a Vista point, the headlands if you want to walk another couple miles.

Let them jump, don't ruin the look for the bridge... people that want to kill themselves will kill themselves.
