Wait for tomorrow when the bond markets open and the hedge fund guys come out to play.

It's all about Tuesday.

Meiac,
You shoulda put a couple hundred thou on DDM, late Friday,
with that kind of pick,

You would have picked up a cool 17+% today...

I'm with Gresch: tomorrow and the next few weeks, will
really tell a tale. Nice day today, but it's frenetic and
a crapshoot until more of this dollar propping takes effect, imo.

http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=DDM+

DDM, ProShares 30Dow is an ETF that basically "doubles" the
daily effect an index like the Dow really does; thus, great gains
or, losses.

Aren't you supposed to be studying?!

Just started my first job after college, working as a field engineer for Weatherford Int (oil service)...I think its a great time for me to start up my 401K and buy up on stocks this week....Just bought my first stocks today! I'll take any good advice, as I was studying engineering for the past 4 years and not too much business!

Stock picking advice?!
There is no dearth of it on the net, but like fannys,
everyone has one and, a fave...

No clue what your 401k will/does offer, and most
don't offer individual stocks other than the "company
stock"...so, how could anyone suggest a pick(s)?

Though at your age, a couple of Index Funds ought to do
fine. Time is on your side.

I think Meiac has officially become the economic Advisor to the community, now that all the Politicians have moved into their own sub-forum.

Apple was up freaking 25%!
I could have paid for the body work that my car needs with the money those monsters charged me to screw it up!
On the plus side, this semester of college is paid for again...
On the negative... My dorm has mold in it... and the school doesn't care

A lil'mold is good for you... imo, all the kids today with their "asthma"
is a result of being cooped in their bedrooms watching TV and playing on
the 'puter, instead of being outside. When I was a kid, "asthma" and
"allergies" were things we had never heard of.

Yeah, except I realized thats why they give you benadryl when you have a cold.
I need to take stocks off my iPhone. I honestly don't care what the market does, my money is so tied up, and I don't wanna look/know about it until im 60, when it will hopefully be a lot, but I check way too often. yeesh.
