The problem with people who are on the left is that they are blinded by their main belief that dealing with radical terrorists can be done by talking to them. As if they will listen to the US when US talks. Remember, they are out to kill and destroy the US but all you can think of is asking for permission before taking them out.

If you asked permission from Syria which is no ally to the US and is probably letting Al Quaeda stay there...don't you think they will inform the bad guys that the US is coming to get them? Doesn't anyone have common sense anymore these days.

I am an immigrant from a third world country. My parents did everything they could to get my family here. We came to the US because it is the BEST country in the world. We came here because of what it stands for and what opportunities it has for me and my family if we work hard.

So why are immigrants coming to this country legally or illegally (don't even get me started on that) and expect the US to change to your liking or have the audacity to ask for government handouts if you're an illegal. If you came to the US you conform to the laws of what this great nation has followed for generations. You don't come here and ask to change things if you don't like it. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT...GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM!

Pacifism DOES NOT Work when dealing with terrorists!!! They must be killed at any time and place that is possible. If it means going 5 miles into a country that sponsors them with weapons, shelter and many other things, yeah, we'll smoke em without hesitation!!! This happens much more than you realize anyway. It's better that the public doesn't know what we're really doing to protect them. The public can't comprehend this and won't sacrifice what they should when it comes to winning this war so it's best they stay out of it and let us do what must be done. Simple as that.
..Plus "telling" Syria would have resulted in a tactical disadvantage for the U.S.. When we have these f#ckers in our sights we have to stay on them until we drop'em and body bag them... Even if they go into a foreign territory that we have not given ample notice to. Danyll you need to learn a few things about military action vs terrorism...And furthermore in agreeance with Lambeau...yes this stuff does happen way more often then you think. Only some of it actually slips through the cracks and makes it to the media. We've been doing this kind of stuff for years...And we'll keep on doing it. Ever heard of Special Forces? You think those guys are just sitting around waiting for the next war during peace time? No...They're carrying out missions to protect and preserve the United States of America on direct Executive orders from Washington, with or without informing foreign governments....And I'm proud of it..

Here's a yes or no question for you guys who think the raid was a good idea:

Is it ok for a country to attack inside another country to kill a leader of a group who they consider a threat to them?

Or is this a "Do as I say, not as I do" issue that only applies to the United States?

Weasel we are talking about a country not 'cops and robbers'...an even comparison would be another country doing the same to US w/o saying anything...do you really think that is acceptable??

my point is this is where all the anti-americanism starts...

The manner in which US handled the situation, even if they disposed of terrorists is somewhat unnaceptable...because it leaves doubts such as entering any country on the basis that there were terrorists...

So pretty much what most of you are agreeing with is that US can take out 20 cars in Iran on their bases that in those cars are terrorists??

or that Russia decides to take out some buildings in Georgia just because they had intel that there were terrorists there??

EKS your post is very opinionated in many ways...and I really don't know why you are talking to me like I am some immigrant lmao since I was born with an american passport....but thats not the point...

Look at the war in Iraq and tell me where is the legitimacy behind it? since saw many poeple saw Iraq as a threat...Look how many more enemies we have created just because of that...

Eric I guess some people do...as long as its their country...

How about if Cuba were to bomb a Miami neighborhood to take out Luis Posada or Orlando Bosch?

And if a dozen innocent civilians living nearby were killed in the bombing, would that be acceptable?

Syria is not the only country to allow terrorists to roam freely.

Danyell....I know you're going to find this hard to believe but I want to point this out to you as clearly as possible...

"Intel" aka "Intelligence" is what we (and other countries) use as a foundation to proceed in accordance with military force...That means, that yes, if We, or Russia, or whoever, has "intel" that there are hostile forces occuppying an area, (structure, car, tunnel, doghouse, cathouse, etc) then yes, we or Russia, or whoever, will most likely act in accordance with that "intel"... its that simple. Call it whatever you want to call it..But thats how it works... And it will continue to be that way...

At least the U.S. applies Rules of Engagement during combat situations.. Thats more than I can say for all of these terrorist organizations and countries that harbor them...You wanna talk about cowardice? Talk to these f*ckers.. Thats if they don't drive a suicide bomber into your house first....

I don't think we have ever been Do as I Do. And we shouldn't. Unless again, you thing all countries are equal.

Who's Posada? Is he a terrorist? If he's a terrorist the US would have gotten him while he was in our country because we do not harbor and supply them like Syria, we kill them.

Was the guy in Miami routinely killing Cuban soldiers and Cuban citizens over the last 5/6 years without any help from the US in stopping the situation?
