That sounds great!! I'm always up for looking at some Brembos. I can bring up some barbecue from Pierce's in Bruton Parish also! It'll go well with dogs/burgers!

Ohhh, I know! My last ticket (93 on a 65) was in Virginia. By the time the V1 went off he had a reading on me. This is the ONLY time my V1 has let me down. Anyway, I was able to put it away before the cop approached the car. Had to hire a lawyer to bring the ticket down, but, oh well... "if you play with fire, you may get burned every once in a while."

Spouses and kids are always a part of the fun. We have a pool, but I'm not sure when we are opening it this season, but there will be plenty of food and drink and we can all stand around and oogle Tommy X's Brembos (they are so cool, that my wife, upon seeing them and after everyone had left, said to me, "I want those for the Volvo".)

I have to track down "The Banner" and have you two sign it. The Banner started at the first EM (at my house) where I had Warsteiner supply us with some "samples" and goodies and one of them was a huge Warsteiner banner. Everyone at EM 1 (September 2001) signed it with a vow to take the banner to Spartenburg the first time there was a Spartenburg X5 Homecoming (that crop was particularly good that year, eh, Tommy?) and the banner actually travelled around a bit: I know that it went out to a West Meet in 2002 and then they mailed it back (to me?). Anyway, The Banner is now as Holy to all X5 True Believers as the Buddha's tooth (the banner is bigger).

It would be great to meet you two and I will emphasize again, that a very important part of the (various) X5 boards has been the real-world meeting of good, crazy people and developing special friendships.

Ed - you're majority whip up in the NYC area. Get those punks on board.

LET'S TALK IT UP!

GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would LOVE to have the privilege of signing the banner! By the way, I am only 1.5 hours from Spartanburg. Maybe we could have the East meet in MY house, and then drive to the "mothership" from here!?

I'm up for that--the Spartanburg tour is great!

Being in Atlanta, a Mid-Atlantic location would be easy for me to get to. Philly may be a bit far.

Yeah, I know. I've always maintained that the best location for a meet would be somewhere in the mid-atlantic. It'd make it more accessible to a lot more people. Having said that, I do see why Trex wants to have it in his house. Wherever we hold it, it'd be fun to meet some of you guys, and have a few cold ones. To say nothing of people's faces when they see a caravan of X5s driving down any road/highway.

We could always have a Southeast Meet--seems to be quite a few folks from North Georgia here now...

Mrs. Trex will have a lot more to see when we come up!

I'm down for another EastMeet any time. I'm sorry to hear you guys are selling the house though. I SO can't see you and Mrs. moving into a condo/apartment. Where is she gonna put all her fly fishing rods?

Rangerfan, you can caravan with us. We should be about 5-6 cars and the trip up and the trip down can be...interesting.

That's an easy 5 hour ride from RI.

Maybe I could hook up with some of the NYC metro/Tri-State Area men and bring up the rear of the caravan.

Sounds like a lot of fun.
