 Ton of Marijuana Seized From Cloned UPS Truck in Arizona http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,464484,00.html Arizona Department of Public Safety Detectives have confiscated about 2,118 pounds of marijuana from a truck that appeared identical to a United Parcel Service truck. A suspect fled the scene when an officer and narcotics canine attempted to stop the vehicle, according to MYFOXPhoenix.com. A search of the truck yielded nearly $1.2 million worth of marijuana bundles typically transported by human drug carriers or "mules" through the desert, MYFOXPhoenix.com reported. Suspects painted the truck to look like a UPS vehicle, complete with the typical reflective yellow decals, the station reported. The truck also sported a homemade Arizona license plate with a number that was assigned to an actual UPS truck servicing the Tucson area. The investigation is ongoing, MYFOXPhoenix reported.  Authorities allege this truck was used to transport more than a ton of marijuana.  Authorities display bundles of marijuana allegedly stored in a UPS truck clone in Arizona.

It's actually a fairly common and well known scheme. I've seen stuff in trainings that show full on replicas of cable company vans, complete with ladders on top, utility company trucks, corporate transport trucks, etc. It is very creative indeed! One that was a bad one and would be suspicious to a keen eye was a van disguised as a "Comcast" or "Time Warner Cable" company van but had a "Dish Net" logo on it too.
 This UPS one is pretty good though, even using a cloned plate that would come back to a UPS registered truck.
