I used clamps, wood and a rubber hammer (see pic). No I never worked at a body shop but did a lot of car work both body and mechanics a loooong time ago in my college years. Since then I mostly did maintenance work on my cars (brakes, oil, tie rods, etc...) nothing more. I had to revive my old rusty skills.
Here is also a pic of the hood painted before the clear coat layers.

I wish I lived closer (I used to..lived in Cary)..I would love to volunteer to do what I could to be part of rebuilding that beauty..

I have finished working on this car. Here are the final pics. It was an interesting project for the holidays break. Now I am going to keep it for a little while before giving it back to my daughter. :-)

Yeah, I'd enjoy the car too after what you had to go through .. maybe you should've forced her to give you a hand!
