I would guess, the most you could do is complain to the head of the department. Make it official, put it in writing. It will probably not result in the class or your grade being changed, but if the teacher has been reported by other students, it is more than likely he won't be invited back to teach in the future. (And don't forget to mention that the lands Israel occupied were the same lands that the Palestinians kept using to attack Israel. AND, that the land in question did not ever officially belong to the Palestinians because they refused the two-state solution.)

Public School = Tough Sh*t.
Private School = Threaten to withdraw, they'll listen. All joking aside, you can talk to a teacher, your parents can bark at the administration, and all that will happen will be that "oh that pski kid complained about so and so." Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot to do, but know better, and if nothing else see something from another perspective. I've heard the expression here "War of Northern Aggression." It took me a lot not to smack the professor, but sometimes you just have to sit through it and play the game. It makes you a better person. I'm not even gonna start on the religion teachers here, who ask for your favorite bible verse to open every class. VOMIT. |

Ezekiel 25:17. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Someday you will grow up, and understand. Until then, I will have to continue to try to remind you that if you want the mainstream to be your friend, you have to stop trampling on their religious beliefs. You need a new approach, and until you develop it, you will never gain any ground. Friendly advice from your neighborhood politician. You won't see it that way, but that's all it is. Quote:
We have all been there - had a teacher with crazy ideas in college. Mine was a lady from Pennsylvania teaching the history of America during the period from 1861-1865. This is in Atlanta. Many of us had family histories telling stories about that period in American history, that had been passed down. Many of us had a state's rights viewpoint to that period of time, and we had to jab her a little along the way. I think that, just occasionally, professors might learn something from their students. In your case, it seems like a prime opportunity for a professor to walk in the other guy's shoes, and learn something from it. If he doesn't take advantage of that opportunity, then he has forgotten what it means to be a student, and he is the lesser for it. Explain what you can, but your audience is probably more your classmates than your prof. You can still get your grade, and work to make the world a little better place for the effort. |

Your comments would be valid if I had stated those views PRIOR to him stating his negative views on homosexuality. His views (and religious reasons) being stated first and used as a hate-card to cloak his bigotry were stated prior to my statements. Due to his feeling of needing to state said lies in a scientific fact based classroom. I felt the need to correct him. Sorry "politician" but that isn't trampling and I'm plenty grown up. You can't make negative statements attacking me with your so called "religious" fact and then when I defend myself against your attack you call it trampling. That's called a hypocrite.
This isn't saying you are a hypocrite but your religious and freedoms are respected by me until you attack me.

You, and a few others, quite regularly attack my religion and religious beliefs. Maybe not me personally, but still my beliefs. See the big picture - win friends, get your way. Unless you are Eric, then you think people just buy their way (read the shoe thread). Quote:

I don't think people hate your religion, THAT would be hypocritical. I think people would ask that if you demand acceptance and freedom and ask people to stand by you on that freedom that you in turn don't campaign against removing another religion or groups freedoms.
