Friendly advice from your neighborhood politician. You won't see it that way, but that's all it is.

This is college, right? There are no civil liberties in College. They can say what they want. You are paying them to attend, and to take these classes. It's up to you to sort out what you believe or don't, what you agree with or don't, and move on with your life.

We have all been there - had a teacher with crazy ideas in college. Mine was a lady from Pennsylvania teaching the history of America during the period from 1861-1865. This is in Atlanta. Many of us had family histories telling stories about that period in American history, that had been passed down. Many of us had a state's rights viewpoint to that period of time, and we had to jab her a little along the way.

I think that, just occasionally, professors might learn something from their students. In your case, it seems like a prime opportunity for a professor to walk in the other guy's shoes, and learn something from it. If he doesn't take advantage of that opportunity, then he has forgotten what it means to be a student, and he is the lesser for it.

Explain what you can, but your audience is probably more your classmates than your prof. You can still get your grade, and work to make the world a little better place for the effort.
im in my senior year of highschool
