I don't know that place. We "north shore" residents tried to not venture too far south of Northern Blvd

We didn't do our food shopping in Manhasset though. We lived in Lake Success so I think we used to hit Gristedes if my memory serves me correctly.
You probably got the Suffolk chicks that were bus'ed in, we had strict rules about letting "our women" near you GNS/GNN lotharios

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
North Shore Long Island is still going strong, they built a Morton's just east of the dinner, where the car leasing place was.

I had a meeting at a customer in Port Washington today and drove though Manhasset. Passed a St Mary's on Northern Blvd. I think it was a grammar school though....and a Prada, Tiffany's, and a bunch of high end stores. Too bad I wasn't alone and couldn't stop to shop. I would have given the economy a little boost.

Way OT,
but for you DeMille reader fans out there, don't waste a dime on his new book, The Gate House.
It ain't The Gold Coast, book-wise. It should be on
the $5 bargain rack at B&N, by the Ides of March, imo.

NEway, this LI talk made me think of that...and fwiw, V my wife, went to
Our Lady of Mercy Academy, an all goils Catholic HS in Syosset.

wow, I don't remember any of that. I haven't been there in a while, but my grandparents old house is apparently back down to what they sold it for in 1999 from a high of a fookin ton.

I've never been to Lugers but I would love to go. A meet there would be a pretty awesome idea.

I already did. Haven't read it yet though. I usually blow through DeMille's books but for some reason I could not get into The Gold Coast. I was going to give it another try and read The Gate House after.

Back to Manhasset.... The stores look fairly new. I think I'll be making a few solo trips out to that new customer. I wonder how much that Miracle Mile will cost me.
