Getting in a bit late on the thread - I've eaten at Peter Lugers a few times, I can't remember if it was in LI or in Brooklyn, it's been over 15 years.

Good to know it's still around, I remember it was a big deal to go there. A top place to get steak.

Went and looked it up on the web, found the Wiki.

I went to Peter Lugers Monday night and the steak was very good.

Took the CEO to Morton's in downtown BK last night to celebrate her making the Deans list at NYU. Their table-side presentation was impressive, the atmosphere/decor was classy...especially with Sinatra-esk music playlist in the background. We ordered, i believe, a 40oz porterhouse steak for 2 and Alaskan king crab legs... ...Morton's is now on my top 10 list.
