Whistle Global Warming is bad science....

Funny watching Al Gore in DC asking for more money for global warming when it was one of the coldest day in DC with snow....

Check out the Weather Channel founder's stance on global warming....

Saw him before, EnviroFreaks will say "there are sooooo many scientists that agree" they never mention the equal number that disagree.

Not sure if I would be labelled an envirofreak, but my comment would be that the climate appears to be changing. It has certainly changed previously, all by itself. It is possible that there were contributing influences, like a volcanic event or a meteor impact, before. However, there is a likelihood that anthropogenic factors are having some impact now. Personally I think that human actions have accelerated climate change. People following climate change don't refer to global warming, that applies more to arctic ice. In other parts of the world there will be different effects, including more extreme weather patterns.

I really worry more about fossil fuel consumption, and how our current oil-based western lifestyle is not sustainable, than I do climate change. I do wonder what sort of scientist notices that it is cold in Washington today and claims that this proves that the climate is not changing. Isn't that the definition of bad science?

I find it odd that the Chairman is uninformed about the difference between climate change and global warming.

Maybe he's been listening to uneducated right wing radio. Of course, I wouldn't have even seen this post if he was educated enough to know that it belonged in the Pollyannatics forum

Since the human population is most responsible for the destruction of the planet, you might be wondering if it is appropriate to suggest that an environmentalist commit suicide as a gift to the earth. The answer is no, mostly because environmentalists have so much work to do before they die and are eventually composted.

The first thing you will notice about environmentalists is the smell. As it stands, they come in three flavors: lavender, patchouli, and natural.

If the answer is yes, you have discovered what you will be receiving for your birthday! If the answer is no, then you know exactly what to get them for nondenominational holidays.

"There's a lot of differing data [about global warming], but as far as I can gather, over the last hundred years the temperature on this planet has gone up 1.8 degrees. Am I the only one who finds that amazingly stable? I could go back to my hotel room tonight and futz with the thermostat for three to four hours. I could not detect that difference."
