How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I am considering getting one along with the X5M. M5 or R8?
The numbers are posted above.
$1430/month with tax (9.25%)
$625 drive off (with $2500 inventive) $3125 (tax, reg, title, acq fee, 1st month)
36 month lease
36,000 miles
57% residual
.0019 Money Factor = 4.5% interest

I think the MSRP was about $101,070
Negotiated sale price was $94,400 ($500 over $93,500 invoice)

not too bad B-line, last time I went in looking at a M5, my lease numbers were 2348 / month --- 36mnths, 36k miles, and that was for an '08

Wow, did you shop those numbers? That sounds OUTRAGEOUSLY high even if you were paying full MSRP...

That's almost $1000/month difference so for a 36 month lease, a $36,000 price difference...

Those numbers don't sound right to me. Are you sure?

And I will admit, I'm usually pretty good at wrangling a great car deal. But it's not by luck. I put a lot of time, effort into it. -- I was offered a job doing BMW sales last night.. LOL..

After I plugged in the numbers into my handy dandy lease calculation spreadsheet, I come back to exactly $1430 per month based on a $94,615 (+$500) invoice on a $102,205 MSRP albeit at 10K miles per year.

Very nice deal. I would have beat it if I were still selling Bimmers. I would have at least given you a M cap and jacket, but that's probably about it. Not much left to squeeze out of that deal unless you got 12K or 15K miles per year.

Question about the money factor though... It was 0.00175 from Jan 3 to Mar 2. I quit in January. Did all the MF's go up on the M5's? You show 0.0019.

The guys at the dealership told me the MF's went down but maybe they are talking in general as opposed to across the board.

Not to hijack the thread, but I took my dealership's offer to sell cars after buying 6 Bimmers from them. I sold 20 cars in 3 months, exceeded everyone's expectations, including my own, then quit. Selling cars wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be.

Thanks Mike..

Yes, I did get 12k miles a year. Also the money factor, you might be right. The dealer told me that the .00175 rate was only for customers with a BMWFS history (within the past year).

My bro didn't have a BMWFS relationship within the past 365 days so he didn't qualify. We could have bought down the rate with security deposit but it didn't seem to make much sense.

If they did up the MF a little bit to try to squeeze some margin, I wouldn't be surprised either. I tried to price shop the MF with a few other dealerships and Santa Monica was the lowest. Not saying we got the buy rate, but they told us we did for a non existing BMW customer.

Yep that's what it was, I was actually throwing out the sheet with the details when I saw the post and was stunned at the difference; I assume it was high because they were trying to get me to buy a M3 convertible instead that had been sitting a lot longer
