Now let's just hope a Semi or ANYTHING larger than a Yaris doesn't hit you...

Congrats! Sounds like you are into it for sure.

If I may ask, what percentage of the cars total cost did the mods set you back? Lorinser and Brabus can't be cheap.

That is awesome!! Your smart car looks terrific! Funny thing... my co-worker and I (who also owns an X5) always talk about modding a smart car. I would bet putting a turbo in a smart car will give alot of supercars a run for their money.

Yeah because it would be a great idea to take a car like that at high speed

Look at the proportions and aerodynamics of that vehicle, there is more than one reason it isn't given high power numbers.

Wheelbase 73.5 inches
Track width front/rear 50.51 inches/54.53 inches
Length 106.1 inches
Width 61.38 inches
Height 60.71 inches

----

X5 for example in contrast:

Wheelbase 115 inches
Length 191 inches
Height 69 inches
Width 76 inches

The smart car is a driving brick.

Smart cars are limited to 90mph for a reason It would be an out of control death trap in triple digits without substantial suspension modification, just look at the height of the vehicle as opposed to is wheelbase and size.

C'mon... lower it, throw on a widebody kit... You never know. Plus we are in the US... getting to 90mph is all you need.

Plus here in NY, we have retards that race at the stoplight up to 40mph before they hit another traffic light.

I JUST said the same thing no longer than 15 mins ago to another co-worker. I work for 'kgb'. Not sure if you've seen the commercials. If you've seen them - I was staring out the office window looking at a parking lot full of them.
